She most recently stepped into the role of Executive Director, where she looks forward to continuing to lead Skyline, through head and heart, with her vision and passion that is deeply rooted in camp’s history and mission. Shana will continue to train staff, direct programs and coordinate volunteers, all while caring for our goats and chickens. Shana brings great spirit and joy to all who wander into Skyline.

Erin is a qualified Wilderness First Responder, has a B.S. in Elementary Education, and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership. She and her husband, Kevin, and their dog, Doc, live here at camp. Sara Hoell
director of Day Camp

sara@campskyline.org

Sara has had a variety of roles at various camps since 1995. She was integral to great food service in Missouri at a summer camp before coming to Skyline. Her food skills brought her to the kitchen team at camp in 2018. Sara directed the kitchen, and still enjoys cooking and baking from scratch, in addition to pushing the boundary on what is traditionally considered “kid food”. When she isn’t in the kitchen or directing Day Camp, she can be found leading Wild Child or hugging trees with her 4 daughters.

You’ll find Rob around camp plowing snow in the winter and helping keep our camp running smoothly year round. Rob is honored to be part of an amazing team at Skyline.

nadiya@campskyline.org

Hi, I’m Nadiya, Skyline’s Director of Food Service! I have one of the best jobs at camp — I grow our garden and turn harvest into delicious meals for everyone to enjoy. Using my background and a big love for creativity and nature, I believe every meal can start a smile, bring people together around the table, and grow a little more community.

zoe@campskyline.org

Zoe Kerchen is our Guest Group Coordinator, as well as assisting with the Wild Child program, housekeeping, and in the kitchen. She started at Skyline as a camper, and began her work here volunteering with the day camp program. She received her bachelor's degree in Geology from Earlham College in Indiana, and returned to Skyline with a love for everything here, down to the rocks. She hopes to bring as many people here as possible to experience the gifts the place we call Skyline has to offer.

Chief is Camp’s hairiest staff member. He made his arrival to Skyline in 2015, and joins us at camp now and then. He enjoys taking walks to the pond, cooling off in the pool, finding some good snacks to eat around the K & D and alerting staff when visitors arrive. He even has his own line of merchandise in the camp store! Be sure to stop and say hello when you see him around.

Summer Staff

Our 2023 Summer Staff

Skyline’s summer staff are selected with care and trained thoroughly. All staff undergo a series of background checks, and many are trained in American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED. Our lifeguards are over 18 and certified by the American Red Cross. About one-third of our summer staff are from overseas, bringing some different accents and insights for our campers to experience!
