HOUSEKEEPER

(Ages 20+)

  • 5-15 hours weekly, year round

  • Flexible hours on particular days

  • Starts at $16 hourly

    We are looking for someone local to the Almont area who loves cleaning, working in solitude, and has an interest in supporting our camp and retreat center’s mission.

     

    Job requirements

  1. A few years of experience cleaning, both light housekeeping and deep cleaning.

  2. Physical ability and willingness to get down low and up high, move furniture, go up and down stairs and dig into dirt.

  3. Willingness to clean bathrooms, bedrooms, fireplaces, seasonal rustic cabins, dining hall eating areas, do laundry and more.

  4. Flexibility with our changing needs based on guest group and camp program needs

  5. Creative problem solving

  6. Clear and kind communication skills, including the ability to accept and give feedback.

  7. Interest in connection with the wider camp community

Skyline’s housekeeper will:

  • Support our mission by cleaning buildings in preparation for retreats, school groups, and campers.

  • Work more between August and May, and less in June and July during summer camps.

  • Work mainly alone but in collaboration with our Site & Facility Director.

  • Work on days between guest groups, depending on when the buildings are needed.

  • Assist summer camp counselors as they learn housekeeping skills and keep our cleanliness standards high.
