Program Support Team Member
AGES 18+
June 6 - August 8, 2026
Camp Skyline is located in Almont, Michigan. Here at Skyline we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who have a passion for working with children in an outdoor setting. These individuals will also have the desire to learn and develop life skills both as a leader and as an individual. Our staff members will join a community of counselors and campers that are looking for a life-changing, service based summer experience. Skyline works to give staff a space to learn about themselves and the world around them as they develop skills and experience in problem solving, communication, creativity, leadership, and flexibility.
Program Support Team Members are the example of versatility in our summer camp program. They are confident communicators that find joy in flexibility, organization, and are willing to do whatever needs to be done to make our summer camp program amazing for all.
They are self-motivated, kind, hard-working individuals that are willing to step in at a moment’s notice to work with campers or to cover for a counselor on break.
Program Support Team Members are able to easily observe from the sidelines as they take photos, short videos, or organize supplies.
They find joy in service, lean in to the awkward spaces of leading a campfire song or leading a game they didn’t have time to practice ahead of time.
Program Support Team Members will:
Support the operations of summer camp programs by doing pre-assigned tasks daily
Be called upon to do tasks as needed, sometimes without much pre-warning
Be trained and able to step in to fill counselor breaks or be a counselor as needed to fulfill ratios
Mentor campers who are building leadership skills
Help serve meals to campers and support the kitchen team with minor tasks as needed
Participate in Staff training and in weekly trainings on Sundays.
Be open to working with campers with a variety of needs and understand that flexibility is a guiding principal in camp’s day to day success
Weekly diligent and thorough cleaning of camp facilities.
Be an active member is a diverse staff community
Program Support Team Members work from Sunday at 10am until Friday at 5pm. Saturdays after staff training are off. Housing is in a dorm style building with other staff. Compensation is a weekly stipend, in addition to food and lodging. Base salary for Program Support Team Members is $435 per week.
“I learned better conflict resolution, time management, and how to adapt quickly when things change. Working here also helped me grow more confident, patient, and comfortable taking on leadership roles.”
